Terms of Service
Last updated: August 20, 2026 (Holiday Beta)
These terms cover your use of the Wishizzle website and mobile app (“Wishizzle”). By using Wishizzle — as a list maker with an account or as a gift buyer opening a shared link — you agree to them. If you have questions, email hello@wishizzle.com.
1. The service
Wishizzle lets you save gift ideas from anywhere, share one list, and let buyers reserve gifts without creating an account, while keeping reservation details hidden from the list owner. Wishizzle is a coordination tool: it helps people agree on who is getting what. It is not a store.
2. Beta status
Wishizzle is currently a Holiday Beta. Features may change, be interrupted, or be discontinued while we build. We will communicate significant changes to beta users, but during the beta the service is provided as-is and availability is not guaranteed.
3. Accounts and buyer access
Joining the website waitlist does not create a product account. Creating and sharing lists in the app requires an account. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep your credentials secure; you are responsible for activity under your account. Gift buyers do not need an account: opening a shared link creates an anonymous session used only to make reservations work, as described in our Privacy Policy.
4. Your content
You own the content you add to Wishizzle — lists, items, links, notes, and photos. You grant us the limited license needed to store that content and display it to you and to the people you choose to share it with. We do not use your content for anything else, and the license ends when the content or your account is deleted.
5. Acceptable use
- Use Wishizzle only for lawful purposes.
- Do not add content that infringes someone else's rights or that is abusive, deceptive, or harmful.
- Do not attempt to break buyer anonymity, access other users' data, probe or disrupt the service, or scrape it at scale.
We may suspend or remove accounts or content that violate these rules.
6. Reservations and purchases
Reserving an item on Wishizzle signals intent to other buyers so gifts do not get duplicated — it is not a purchase, and it does not hold stock or a price at any retailer. Purchases happen on the retailer's own site under the retailer's terms. Wishizzle is not a party to those transactions and is not responsible for product availability, pricing, shipping, or returns.
7. Affiliate links
Outbound store links from shared lists may be affiliate links generated through partner networks (such as Skimlinks or Commission Junction). Wishizzle may earn a commission on qualifying purchases at no additional cost to you — the price you pay at the retailer is unchanged. See the Affiliate Disclosure and Privacy Policy for how affiliate links are handled.
8. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect and the buyer-anonymity promise at the core of the product. It is part of these terms.
9. Intellectual property
The Wishizzle name, site, and app — excluding content you add — belong to us. These terms do not grant you rights to use the Wishizzle brand.
10. Termination
You can stop using Wishizzle at any time. Delete your account from the app: Profile → Delete account. If you cannot use the in-app path, email hello@wishizzle.com. We may suspend or end access for violations of these terms or, during the beta, if we discontinue the service.
11. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
Wishizzle is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Wishizzle and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for loss of data, arising from your use of the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the beta evolves. We will update this page and notify beta users of material changes; continuing to use Wishizzle after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where consumer protection or other mandatory law in your home jurisdiction gives you rights we cannot contract away.
14. Disputes
If something goes wrong, email us first at hello@wishizzle.com and give us a reasonable chance to fix it. If we cannot resolve the dispute informally within 30 days, either party may bring a claim in a court of competent jurisdiction in the United States. Nothing here stops you from raising issues with a regulator or using small-claims court where you are eligible.
